چکیده
The secondary use of tyre rubber is a potentially sustainable environmental solution. However, the sorption properties used-tyre have not yet been fully investigated. In this study, type (vulcanised or devulcanised part-worn rubber) that can sorb phosphate phosphorus from aqueous solutions wastewater more effectively determined. capacity granules (0.3–1.0 mm in diameter) non-devulcanised ground and uniquely chemically to adsorb evaluated under laboratory conditions. results show filtration an solution biologically treated at flow rate 0.75 m/h (1.2 L/h), 1 g medium accumulates 5.16 mg phosphorus, which five times than accumulated by medium. surface structure suitable for granules. effectiveness removal are favourable compared with those tested natural waste-prepared sorbents. Further research into material as filter layers accumulating drainage should be conducted. findings study important addressing issues associated rubber.

Phosphate Adsorption and Recovery from an Industrial Wastewater
Phosphate is one of the major causes of the water eutrophication, because it is often the limiting nutrient for primary production in fresh water and marine. The world health organization (WHO) especially established the committee for this, in order to research its origin cause of formation and make the countermeasure. Phosphate removal from wastewater has been widely investigated. Consequently...
متن کاملBiological Removal of phosphate from Synthetic Wastewater Using Bacterial Consortium
The biological phosphorus removal is a microbial process widely used for removing phosphorus fromwastewater to avoid eutrophication of water bodies. The study was aimed to screen the efficient phosphatereducing isolates and used to remove phosphate from synthetic wastewater using batch scale process. Thethree most efficient phosphate reducers were isolated and screened from eu...
متن کاملHeavy Metal Removal from Water and Wastewater Using Raw and Modified Diatomite (TECHNICAL NOTE)
heavy metal removal from water and wastewater was investigated by using raw and modified diatomite from Iranian mines. Modification of diatomite was done by impregnating the diatomite surface with 0.35 g of manganese oxide in one gram of diatomite. This modified diatomite was named Mn-Diatomite. The surface area measurements for Mn-diatomite showed a 2.2 fold increase, hence higher removal capa...

Kinetics and Adsorption Isotherms Study of Cyanide Removal from Gold Processing Wastewater Using Natural and Impregnated Zeolites
The extraction of gold involves using cyanide which has the potential to impact the environment. Many studies have been done to reduce the environmental effects of cyanide. In this research, the cyanide adsorption on zeolite from gold processing plant tailing dam wastewater was investigated. Results indicated that the pH of the solution, contact time duration, temperature, zeolite amo...
